JEFFREY J. KENT
Mr. Kent is a lifelong resident of the City of Chicago. He attended St. Mary’s University in Minnesota and received his Juris Doctorate from Chicago Kent College of Law.
Mr. Kent began his legal career as a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney where he successfully prosecuted a multitude of cases ranging from low-level misdemeanors to serious violent felonies. He spend nine years in the State’s Attorney’s Office. During his tenure with the State’s Attorney’s Office he gained significant investigation experience with respect to sophisticated financial and White Collar crimes.
After leaving the State’s Attorney’s Office, Mr. Kent entered private practice where he zealously defended the rights of individuals charged with all levels of crimes. Mr. Kent has a stellar record of achieving successful results for his clients whether it is an acquittal following trial, obtaining suppression of evidence after a hearing, or negotiating a favorable plea. He is also well versed in the interplay between Criminal Court and Family Court having represented and protected the rights of clients in both venues.
